Guide to a Happy Period

This resource was created in 2023 with the help of:

• Dr. Claire Koukol and Dr. Maddison McConnaughhay, who drafted and created the guide as part of their Master of Public Health studies.

• Dr. Abigail Drucker, pediatric and adolescent gynecologist at Children’s Nebraska.

• Hadeel Haider and Chit Thel Oo of Restoring Dignity, who offered perspectives from their work with refugee families and their own experiences.

• The illustrations were created by artist and illustrator Fran Allen, of Des Moines, Iowa.

• Graphic Designer Kolleen Benjamin of Elkhorn, Nebraska designed the tri-fold brochure.

• Translation was provided by World Speaks Omaha.
